He was awarded CCT Cardiology by the Royal College of Physicians London in 2014. He completed his fellowship in Complex Coronary Intervention from Mount Sinai Hospital and Icahn Medical School, New York in 2014. Dr. Sawant has presented at many national and international conferences and has published in indexed medical journals.
He enjoys teaching medical graduates and postgraduates. He worked as a mentor for Cambridge Medical School and Queen Mary’s University Medical School in London. Dr. Sawant was selected as a General Secretary of students association at Bharati Vidyapeeth’s Medical College (1995-96) and later elected as a Secretary of Resident doctors association of Pune [MARD] (2000). Dr. Sawant returned to India to serve his countrymen and women with the intention to improve healthcare standards.
